This Houston Gamblers t-shirt shows a football and the team colors for the United States Football League team. The USFL was a pro football league that began in 1983 and lasted for three seasons. The league was created with the idea that there was a market for professional football in the summer months. The Gamblers were were coached by veteran NFL coach, Jack Pardee, in 1984 and 1985. Their team made a name for themselves by introducing the Run & Shoot offense to professional football and by breaking the league's single season scoring record with 618 points in 1984.
